Description

15‑Minute Garlic Butter Shrimp is a quick and impressive seafood dish where succulent shrimp are sautéed in garlicky butter, finished with a splash of lemon and herbs. It’s fast, flavorful, and perfect for weeknight dinners or when guests drop in unexpectedly.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it bubbles gently.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp in a single layer, cook for 2–3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice and red pepper flakes. Toss everything together so the shrimp are well coated in the garlic‑butter sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley just before serving. Serve immediately so the sauce remains glossy and rich.

Notes

  • You can swap lime juice for lemon for a different citrus twist.
  • Add a handful of grated Parmesan at the end for a richer finish.
  • If you prefer more heat, increase the red pepper flakes or add a pinch of smoked paprika.
  • Use olive oil or plant‑based butter to make the dish dairy‑free.
  • Serve over rice, pasta, crusty bread, or zucchini noodles to soak up the sauce.
