Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease or line a standard loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk milk, vegetable oil, and egg until smooth.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool before slicing.
