Description

This 5‑Ingredient Ground Beef Casserole is a hearty, cheesy bake made with ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, cream of cheddar soup, frozen cubed potatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese—easy to assemble and comforting to eat.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)

1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 can condensed cream of cheddar cheese soup

1 bag frozen cubed potatoes

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix beef, both soups, frozen potatoes, and half the cheese (add salt and pepper if desired).
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13‑inch casserole dish and spread evenly.
  5. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake an additional 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey for a lighter version.
  • Add frozen peas, corn, or spinach for extra veggies.
  • Stir in diced jalapeños or hot sauce for heat.
  • Try pepper jack or mozzarella instead of cheddar cheese.
  • Parboil fresh potatoes if using instead of frozen cubes.
