Description
Air Fryer Apple Chips are a quick and healthy snack made with thinly sliced apples, coconut oil, and cinnamon. Crispy, lightly sweet, and naturally wholesome, they’re the perfect fall-inspired alternative to potato chips.
Ingredients
- 1–2 apples (Pink Lady, Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Red Delicious)
- Coconut oil spray (or melted coconut oil)
- Ground cinnamon
- Optional: brown sugar or maple syrup for extra sweetness
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Wash and thinly slice apples into rounds using a mandoline or sharp knife. Remove cores if desired.
- Lightly spray apple slices with coconut oil and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Arrange slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
- Air fry for 12 minutes, flip slices, and cook another 10 minutes (time may vary by air fryer).
- Remove chips and let them cool for 1–2 minutes to crisp up before serving.
Notes
- Swap cinnamon with apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice for variety.
- Add a drizzle of maple syrup or sprinkle of brown sugar for extra sweetness.
- A pinch of nutmeg or ginger adds a warm spiced flavor.
- Cool completely before storing to keep chips crispy.
- If chips soften, re-crisp them in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes.
