Description

These Air Fryer Cheesy Chicken Pockets are crispy on the outside and filled with a creamy, cheesy chicken mixture inside. Perfect for quick lunches, easy dinners, or satisfying snacks, they cook to golden perfection in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup cream cheese, softened (optional)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 package (about 8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, shredded cheese, and cream cheese until well mixed.
  2. Add chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Stir until evenly combined.
  3. Roll out the pizza or crescent dough on a lightly floured surface. If using pizza dough, cut into 6 to 8 equal rectangles.
  4. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of filling into the center of each dough piece.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling to form a pocket and press edges firmly with a fork to seal.
  6. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 to 5 minutes.
  8. Place pockets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove carefully and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Add chili flakes or diced jalapeños for a spicy variation.
  • Mix in finely chopped bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition.
  • Try Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, or a Mexican cheese blend for different flavors.
  • Add 1 to 2 tablespoons buffalo sauce for a tangy twist.
  • Do not overfill to prevent leaking during cooking.
  • Reheat in the air fryer or oven to maintain crispiness.
