Description

These air fryer chicken wings are perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside, seasoned with simple pantry spices and cooked quickly without breading for an easy snack, appetizer, or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1820 split chicken wings (about 1.8 pounds), drumettes and flats
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder (optional)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 cup honey garlic sauce (optional)
  • Ranch dressing for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings very dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and baking powder if using.
  3. Add the chicken wings and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 2 minutes.
  5. Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer with space between each piece.
  6. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 24–25 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through cooking.
  7. Cook until the skin is golden and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the wings rest for about 5 minutes after cooking.
  9. If desired, toss the wings with buffalo sauce, barbecue sauce, or honey garlic sauce before serving.
