Description

Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken features juicy, bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs coated in a savory garlic-Parmesan seasoning and crisped to perfection in the air fryer. It’s quick, easy, and packed with flavor in every bite.


Ingredients

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 4–5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, Italian seasoning, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat chicken thighs dry and rub with olive oil.
  4. Rub seasoning mix evenly onto both sides of the chicken.
  5. Place chicken in the air fryer basket skin side down and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Flip and cook for another 6–10 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy.
  7. Sprinkle half the Parmesan cheese over the chicken, cook 2 minutes, flip, and repeat with remaining Parmesan.
  8. Check that the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C), ideally up to 185°F–195°F for juiciness.
  9. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Boneless, skinless thighs can be used with reduced cooking time.
  • Add smoked paprika or red pepper flakes for extra flavor or heat.
  • Use grated Parmesan for best texture and adherence.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket to maintain crispiness.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days and reheat in the air fryer.
