Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 12 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the sausage, beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until meat is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and broken lasagna noodles. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until noodles are tender.
  4. Add mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Stir until melted and smooth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
