Description

These Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quesadillas combine caramelized apples, warm cinnamon, and melted cheese inside golden, crispy tortillas. A quick, cozy breakfast perfect for any morning or brunch table.

Ingredients

  • 4 flour tortillas (8-inch)
  • 2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Optional: maple syrup for serving
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are soft and caramelized. Remove from heat.
  2. Lay tortillas flat and spoon the apple mixture onto one half of each tortilla. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, then fold each tortilla in half.
  3. Melt remaining 1 tablespoon butter in the skillet over medium heat. Cook each folded quesadilla for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cheese is melted. Work in batches if needed.
  4. Let cool slightly before slicing into wedges. Serve warm with maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

  • Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for deeper flavor.
  • Swap cheddar for cream cheese or mozzarella for a different texture.
  • Add chopped walnuts or pecans for crunch.
  • Make the apple filling ahead for faster prep in the morning.
