This Apple Crumble Cottage Cheese Bake combines creamy cottage cheese cheesecake, caramelized apples, and a golden oat crumble for a cozy, protein-packed dessert. It’s sweetened naturally with maple syrup, spiced with cinnamon, and perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a make-ahead treat.
Ingredients
- Cheesecake Layer:
- 1 ½ cups cottage cheese
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
- Apple Layer:
- 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
- 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- Crumble Topping:
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ¼ cup almond flour
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil or butter
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat coconut oil over medium heat. Add diced apples, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Cook for 5–7 minutes until soft and caramelized. Set aside.
- In a bowl, mix oats, almond flour, coconut sugar, melted oil, and cinnamon. Spread on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, or air fry for 2–4 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- In a blender or food processor, blend cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- To assemble, layer crumble, apples, cheesecake base, more apples, and a final sprinkle of crumble in small jars or a dish.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving, or enjoy warm for a cozy dessert.

- Use dairy-free yogurt and vegan butter for a plant-based version.
- Substitute almond flour with crushed graham crackers or oats.
