Description

Apple Pie Bombs are deep-fried biscuit dough treats filled with warm apple pie filling and rolled in cinnamon sugar. These quick, golden delights are a fun twist on classic apple pie—perfect for dessert or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3 oz) can Grands Big biscuits, flaky style
  • 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling or caramel apple pie filling
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (optional, for coating)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. Separate each biscuit and flatten slightly with fingers.
  2. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of apple pie filling into the center of each biscuit.
  3. Fold biscuit over filling and pinch edges to seal into a ball.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry bombs in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  6. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. While warm, roll in granulated sugar (mixed with cinnamon if using).
  8. Serve warm for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use cherry, peach, or blueberry pie filling for variety.
  • Try cinnamon roll dough instead of biscuits for extra spice.
  • For a baked version, cook at 375°F for 12–15 minutes.
  • Add caramel drizzle or serve with vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
  • Store leftovers at room temp up to 2 days or refrigerate up to 4 days.
