Description

A rich, savory beef bolognese simmered to perfection and served over creamy garlic butter spaghetti—comforting, hearty, and perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt, or to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper, or to taste
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add tomato sauce and reduce heat. Let simmer for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. In a separate pan, melt butter over low heat. Add garlic and stir until fragrant.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and mix until smooth. Add cooked spaghetti and toss to coat. Stir in grated parmesan cheese until creamy and well combined.
  7. Serve the beef bolognese over the garlic butter spaghetti. Top with extra parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Use ground chicken or turkey for a lighter version.
  • Add mushrooms or finely chopped carrots to the bolognese for extra texture.
  • Prepare the sauce a day ahead for deeper flavor.
  • Freeze bolognese separately for easy future meals.
  • Add a splash of cream or water when reheating to restore creaminess.
