Description
Buffalo Chicken Fries are a fun and flavorful loaded fry dish with crispy fries topped with spicy buffalo chicken, melty cheese, cool ranch or blue cheese dressing, and extra toppings for a satisfying comfort meal.
Ingredients
- 26 ounces frozen french fries
- 16 ounces cooked chicken, diced or shredded
- 1 cup buffalo hot sauce, plus extra for drizzling
- 1 1/2 cups grated pepper jack cheese
- 1 1/2 cups grated Monterey jack cheese
- 1 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
- 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
- 1/2–1 cup sliced green onions or chives
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) and spread frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake the fries for about 20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- While the fries bake, toss the cooked chicken with 1 cup of buffalo hot sauce until well coated.
- Remove fries from the oven and sprinkle half of the pepper jack and Monterey jack cheeses on top.
- Distribute the buffalo chicken evenly over the fries.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Return the tray to the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.
- Drizzle extra buffalo sauce and ranch (or blue cheese) dressing over the loaded fries.
- Finish by sprinkling blue cheese crumbles and sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- Swap regular fries for sweet potato fries for a touch of sweetness.
- Use cheddar, mozzarella, or a cheese blend if preferred.
- Add jalapeños for extra heat.
- Replace chicken with buffalo cauliflower for a vegetarian option.
