Description

Buffalo Chicken Fries are a fun and flavorful loaded fry dish with crispy fries topped with spicy buffalo chicken, melty cheese, cool ranch or blue cheese dressing, and extra toppings for a satisfying comfort meal.

Ingredients

  • 26 ounces frozen french fries
  • 16 ounces cooked chicken, diced or shredded
  • 1 cup buffalo hot sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 1/2 cups grated pepper jack cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Monterey jack cheese
  • 1 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/21 cup sliced green onions or chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) and spread frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake the fries for about 20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  3. While the fries bake, toss the cooked chicken with 1 cup of buffalo hot sauce until well coated.
  4. Remove fries from the oven and sprinkle half of the pepper jack and Monterey jack cheeses on top.
  5. Distribute the buffalo chicken evenly over the fries.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Return the tray to the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.
  8. Drizzle extra buffalo sauce and ranch (or blue cheese) dressing over the loaded fries.
  9. Finish by sprinkling blue cheese crumbles and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Swap regular fries for sweet potato fries for a touch of sweetness.
  • Use cheddar, mozzarella, or a cheese blend if preferred.
  • Add jalapeños for extra heat.
  • Replace chicken with buffalo cauliflower for a vegetarian option.
  • Try homemade buffalo sauce by mixing melted butter with hot sauce.
