Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • Additional powdered sugar, for rolling (about 1 cup or more)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream softened butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in salt and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  5. Fold in finely chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until bottoms are lightly golden and tops remain pale.
  8. Let cookies cool slightly, then gently roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.
  9. Once completely cooled, roll again in powdered sugar for a snowball finish.
