Description

A creamy and flavorful Cajun Chicken Alfredo made with tender Cajun-seasoned chicken, fettuccine pasta, and a rich garlic parmesan Alfredo sauce with a subtle spicy kick.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and allow it to rest before slicing into strips.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the butter.
  6. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  8. Add paprika, onion powder, and red pepper flakes if using. Let the sauce simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  9. Gradually stir in the grated parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  10. Add the cooked pasta and toss until fully coated in the Alfredo sauce.
  11. Top with sliced Cajun chicken and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese melts better and creates a smoother sauce.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of milk, cream, or chicken broth.
  • Cajun seasoning levels can be adjusted depending on preferred spice level.
  • Vegetables such as spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers can be added for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • This dish is best served immediately while the sauce is creamy.
