Description

Cajun Steak Tips in Cheesy Rigatoni Parmesan Sauce is a rich, creamy pasta dish featuring tender Cajun-seasoned steak tips and rigatoni tossed in a smooth Parmesan cream sauce. It’s a bold, comforting meal perfect for weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak tips (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 10 ounces rigatoni pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, plus more to taste
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Fontina cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak tips until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook rigatoni in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain the rest.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Optional: Stir in mozzarella or Fontina cheese for extra creaminess.
  7. Add drained rigatoni to the sauce and toss to coat. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
  8. Gently fold steak tips back into the pasta and heat through. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning for desired spice level.
  • Use penne or fusilli as alternatives to rigatoni.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or onions for more depth of flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat with a splash of cream or milk to maintain creaminess.
