Description
Flaky crescent roll sticks filled with savory deli slices and melted cheese, baked until golden and perfect for snacks, appetizers, or quick lunches.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count, about 226 g)
- 8 slices halal deli turkey or beef (about 120 g total)
- 8 mozzarella cheese sticks or cheddar cheese sticks (about 168 g total)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (15 g)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles along the perforated lines.
- Place one slice of deli turkey or beef on each dough triangle, folding it if needed to fit.
- Place one cheese stick at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough from the wide end toward the pointed tip, enclosing the filling completely.
- Place the rolled sticks seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Mix the melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley in a small bowl.
- Brush the butter mixture lightly over the tops of the dough.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until the crescent dough is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the cheese is fully enclosed to prevent it from leaking during baking.
- Different cheeses such as gouda or provolone can be used.
- Add chili flakes or jalapeños for a spicy variation.
- Serve with marinara, garlic sauce, ranch, or honey mustard.
- Cooling on a wire rack helps keep the bottoms crisp.
