- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the dish, sealing the seams.
- In a bowl, beat the cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer.
- Unroll the second can of dough and lay it on top of the cream cheese layer, pressing the seams together.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the top layer.
- In a small bowl, mix the remaining ½ cup sugar with the cinnamon, and sprinkle it over the buttered dough.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown and set.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Add a fruit filling like cherry or blueberry over the cream cheese layer for variation.
- Lemon zest in the filling can brighten the flavor.
- Chopped nuts on top add texture and crunch.
