Ingredients
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and boiled
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions
- Boil the peeled potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Drain well and mash while still warm.
- Add butter and milk to the mashed potatoes and mix until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir in shredded cheese and parsley if using. Let the mixture cool slightly.
- Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into cylinders or oval croquettes.
- Beat the egg in a bowl and place breadcrumbs in another bowl.
- Dip each croquette into the beaten egg, then coat evenly with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Fry the croquettes in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm for best texture and flavor.
