Description

This Cheesy Pull-Apart Bread is packed with gooey mozzarella, wrapped in soft pizza dough, and brushed with herbed butter for a golden, irresistible finish. It’s perfect for sharing and pairs beautifully with marinara dipping sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough, room temperature
  • 7 mozzarella cheese sticks, cut into 5 pieces each
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for dusting)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour a work surface. Divide the dough in half and roll each portion into a rectangle.
  3. Cut dough into squares. Place one piece of cheese in the center of each square. Wrap dough around cheese, pinch to seal, and roll into balls.
  4. Arrange balls seam-side down on the baking sheet, close together in a loaf shape.
  5. Whisk egg and water, then brush over the dough balls.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
  7. While baking, mix melted butter with parmesan, parsley, rosemary, basil, and red pepper flakes.
  8. Remove bread from oven and immediately brush with herbed butter. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
