Ingredients
- 8 slices frozen garlic Texas toast
- 1 lb (450 g) boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups (480 ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100 g) grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup (120 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven according to Texas toast package instructions and bake slices until golden and crispy. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 6–8 minutes until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream and let it simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and thick.
- Return cooked chicken to the skillet and mix to coat in the Alfredo sauce.
- Place toasted bread slices on a baking tray and spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture evenly over each slice.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
