Description

A rich and creamy Indian-style grilled chicken dish made with yogurt, cream, and aromatic spices, delivering tender, juicy bites with a mild, flavorful profile.

Ingredients

  • 300 g chicken, cut into cubes
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon mace powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, cream, garlic paste, ginger paste, mace powder, nutmeg powder, pepper, and salt until smooth.
  2. Add lemon juice, parsley, and mint, mixing well.
  3. Add chicken cubes and coat thoroughly. Cover and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Preheat oven or grill to 200°C (390°F).
  5. Thread chicken onto skewers.
  6. Brush with melted butter.
  7. Cook for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway, until cooked through and lightly charred.
  8. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve hot with chutney, lemon wedges, or naan.

Notes

  • Chicken thighs are juicier than breast pieces.
  • Longer marination enhances flavor and tenderness.
  • Avoid overcooking to keep chicken soft.
  • Use a grill for authentic smoky flavor.
  • Air fryer can be used as an alternative.
  • Adjust spice level with chili powder if desired.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
