Ingredients
- 500 g boneless, skinless chicken cubes (about 2 cups)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (16 g)
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1/4 cup sliced olives
- 1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum (bell pepper)
Instructions
- Place the chicken cubes in a food processor and blend until smooth and paste-like.
- Transfer the minced chicken to a mixing bowl and add egg, cornstarch, garlic paste, black pepper, chili flakes, salt, soy sauce, and oil. Mix thoroughly until well combined and sticky.
- Fold in the sliced olives and chopped capsicum evenly.
- Lay out aluminum foil or parchment paper and shape the mixture into a tight log, pressing to remove air pockets. Roll and twist the ends securely.
- Place the wrapped log into a steamer or pot with a steaming rack and steam over medium heat for 30–35 minutes until firm and fully cooked.
- Remove from steamer and allow to cool completely before unwrapping.
- Slice into rounds or desired thickness and serve as is or lightly pan-fry for a golden crust.
