Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 (8 count) tube Pillsbury biscuits
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 small onion, chopped
Seasoning to taste (e.g., Montreal Steak seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder)
1 tablespoon oil (for sautéing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 7×9 or 9×11 baking dish.
- Split biscuits in half and press bottom halves into the dish. Bake for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a skillet. Sauté onion for 5 minutes over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain grease and season to taste.
- Remove dish from oven and spread beef mixture over baked biscuits.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of beef.
- Place remaining biscuit halves over the cheese layer.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the top biscuits are golden and cooked through.
- Cool slightly before serving. Top with favorite burger condiments if desired.
Notes
- Swap beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Add chopped pickles or jalapeños for extra flavor.
- Try mozzarella or pepper jack for a cheese variation.
- Serve with shredded lettuce or tomato for a full burger experience.
- Pre-baking the bottom biscuits prevents sogginess.
