Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup milk (any kind)
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter (regular or plant-based)
  • ⅓ cup apple butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2½ cups regular or gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: soft butter, apple butter, maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together applesauce, milk, maple syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, apple butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and baking soda until smooth.
