Description

Soft and flaky crescent roll pastries filled with sweet cinnamon sugar and a rich, creamy cream cheese center. These quick and easy rolls are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or 1 thawed puff pastry sheet)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (optional glaze)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Unroll crescent dough and press seams together to form one sheet.
  5. Brush dough evenly with melted butter.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over buttered dough.
  7. Spread cream cheese mixture on top, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
  8. Roll dough tightly from the long edge into a log.
  9. Slice into 8 equal rolls and place on prepared baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Whisk glaze ingredients if using and drizzle over warm rolls.
  12. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overfill to prevent leaking during baking.
  • Roll dough tightly for neat slices.
  • Store refrigerated up to 4 days.
  • Freeze baked (unglazed) rolls up to 2 months.
  • Reheat in microwave 15–20 seconds or oven at 300°F for 5–7 minutes.
