Description
Soft and flaky crescent roll pastries filled with sweet cinnamon sugar and a rich, creamy cream cheese center. These quick and easy rolls are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or 1 thawed puff pastry sheet)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (optional glaze)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Beat softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Unroll crescent dough and press seams together to form one sheet.
- Brush dough evenly with melted butter.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over buttered dough.
- Spread cream cheese mixture on top, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
- Roll dough tightly from the long edge into a log.
- Slice into 8 equal rolls and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk glaze ingredients if using and drizzle over warm rolls.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Do not overfill to prevent leaking during baking.
- Roll dough tightly for neat slices.
- Store refrigerated up to 4 days.
- Freeze baked (unglazed) rolls up to 2 months.
- Reheat in microwave 15–20 seconds or oven at 300°F for 5–7 minutes.
