Ingredients
- 6 slices soft bread (white or brioche)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons (25 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons (28 g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin or your hands.
- Brush each slice lightly with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Roll each slice tightly into a log shape and secure with toothpicks if needed.
- Heat a lightly greased skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, coating all sides without soaking.
- Place in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from skillet, discard toothpicks, and serve warm.
