Description

This quick and easy coffee sauce combines strong brewed coffee, butter, and vanilla for a rich, café-style drizzle perfect for desserts like cake, ice cream, or pancakes.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Brew strong coffee and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  3. Pour in the coffee and stir to combine.
  4. Simmer gently for 5–10 minutes to reduce slightly and blend flavors.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving; sauce will thicken a bit as it cools.

Notes

  • Add 1–2 tbsp brown sugar or honey for sweetness if desired.
  • Stir in a splash of cream or pinch of cinnamon for variation.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge up to 5 days and reheat before serving.
