Ingredients
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 1 ½ cups gluten free flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
- ½ cup coconut sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
- Flaky sea salt, for finishing
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until browned and fragrant. Transfer to a bowl and let cool slightly.
- Mix in coconut sugar, then stir in egg and vanilla until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together gluten free flour, baking soda, and fine sea salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Shape dough into fry-like sticks and place on baking sheet, spaced apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt while warm. Cool before serving.

- Use a 1:1 gluten free flour blend for best results.
- Substitute brown sugar for coconut sugar if needed.
- Add nuts or swap chocolate chips for variety.
