Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Melt butter in the same skillet and add garlic. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, parsley, and dill.
  5. Add lemon juice, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over each piece. Cover and cook for 8–10 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with extra parsley and serve hot.
