Description

This Cozy Crockpot Apple Cider is a warm, spiced fall drink made by slow-cooking apples, oranges, and whole spices. Naturally sweet and aromatic, it’s perfect for chilly days, festive gatherings, or a relaxing evening at home.


Ingredients

  • 10 medium apples (Gala, Fuji, Granny Smith mix), quartered
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp whole cloves
  • 1 tbsp allspice berries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 10 cups water

Instructions

  1. Wash and quarter apples (no need to peel or core). Slice the orange into rounds.
  2. Place apples, orange, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice in a crockpot.
  3. Pour in water to cover all ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 3–4 hours or low for 6–8 hours.
  4. Once fruit is soft, mash gently with a potato masher to release juices.
  5. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth, pressing solids to extract liquid.
  6. Return cider to pot and stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with a cinnamon stick or orange slice.
