Description
Crispy Air Fryer Potato Chips are a light, crunchy snack made with thinly sliced potatoes, olive oil, and your favorite seasonings. They’re air-fried to golden perfection without deep frying.
Ingredients
- 2 medium russet potatoes (about 300 g)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt, adjusted to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika, garlic powder, or preferred seasoning
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them very thinly (about 1/8 inch thick).
- Place the slices in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat the slices completely dry with paper towels.
- Toss the slices with olive oil, salt, and seasoning until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Remove when golden and crispy. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use a mandoline for evenly thin slices to ensure crispness.
- Experiment with different seasonings like chili powder, smoked paprika, or ranch seasoning.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow proper air circulation.
- Sweet potatoes can be substituted for a sweeter twist.
