Description

A refreshing blend of cool cucumber and sweet melon, served as a hydrating mocktail or bright, summery cocktail. Perfect for warm days or a spa-like treat at home.

Ingredients

1 cup cucumber, peeled, seeded, and sliced or cubed

1 cup cantaloupe or honeydew melon, cubed

12 cups sparkling water or soda water

12 tbsp lime juice or lemonade

Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

12 tbsp simple syrup or agave syrup (optional, to taste)

2 oz gin or vodka (optional, for cocktail version)

Instructions

  1. Combine cucumber and melon in a blender with lime juice or lemonade, and simple syrup or agave if desired. Blend until smooth.
  2. For a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
  3. For a mocktail: Pour the blended mixture into glasses over ice, then top with sparkling water. Stir gently.
  4. For a cocktail: Muddle cucumber and melon in a shaker, add gin or vodka, lime juice, and syrup if desired. Shake with ice, strain into a glass, and top with sparkling water.
  5. Garnish with cucumber ribbons, melon balls, and fresh mint leaves before serving.

Notes

  • Swap cantaloupe for honeydew or watermelon for a different flavor profile.
  • Adjust sweetness with more or less syrup, or add extra citrus for a tangy twist.
  • For a low-calorie version, blend just fruit, water, and ice.
  • Best served fresh; if making ahead, add sparkling water just before serving.
  • Edible flowers make a beautiful garnish for special occasions.
