Ingredients
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 lb fresh crab meat, drained and finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 green onions, finely sliced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 eggroll wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crab meat, garlic powder, onion powder, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
- Lay an eggroll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape. Place 2–3 tablespoons of filling in the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll tightly toward the top corner. Brush the edge with beaten egg and seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry eggrolls in batches for 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with sweet chili sauce or preferred dipping sauce.
Notes
- Do not overfill to prevent bursting during frying.
- Ensure oil reaches 350°F before frying for crisp results.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes for a lighter option.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway.
- Store in refrigerator up to 3 days.
- Freeze uncooked eggrolls for up to 2 months and fry from frozen.
