Description

Easy Cream Cheese Chicken is a creamy, comforting one-pan dinner made with juicy chicken breasts simmered in a rich garlic-herb cream cheese sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights, it’s ready in just 30 minutes and pairs well with pasta, rice, or potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Fresh chopped parsley, optional

Instructions

  1. Microwave cream cheese until very soft, cut into cubes, and set aside.
  2. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make 4 thin cutlets. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add onions and cook 5–7 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  5. Add chicken broth, cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  6. Return chicken to skillet and heat through. Add more broth if sauce is too thick.
  7. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
