- 6 large egg yolks
 - 3/4 cup white sugar
 - 2/3 cup milk

 - 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
 - 2 (3 oz) packages ladyfinger cookies
 - 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)

 - Whip heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
 - Whisk mascarpone into the cooled custard until smooth.
 - Quickly dip ladyfingers into the brewed coffee and arrange half in a 7×11-inch dish.
 - Spread half the mascarpone mixture over ladyfingers, followed by half the whipped cream. Repeat layers.
 - Dust the top with cocoa powder.
 - Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes
- Use decaf coffee for a kid-friendly version.
 - Add cocoa to the coffee for a mocha flavor.
 - Sprinkle chocolate chips or fresh berries between layers for variation.
 - Slice and freeze leftovers individually for longer storage.
 - Chill overnight for best flavor and texture.
