Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar (or 1/2 cup for less sweetness)
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Stir in melted butter until combined.
- Mix in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir gently.
- Fold in flour just until no white streaks remain. Do not overmix.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
