Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (15 oz) chili beans, drained
  • 2 cups corn chips (such as Fritos)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook onions for 3–4 minutes until soft.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in taco seasoning and water, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add chili beans and cook for another 3–4 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Layer corn chips in a serving dish or bowls.
  8. Spoon beef mixture over chips and top with shredded cheese.
  9. Add diced tomatoes, sour cream, and green onions.
  10. Serve immediately while warm.
