Description

Wholesome frozen pup pops made with shredded chicken, chicken broth, blueberries, plain yogurt and a little honey (for dogs over 1 year). A refreshing, healthy frozen snack for your dog.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken (unseasoned)
  • 1 cup low‑sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup plain unsweetened yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional and only for dogs over 1 year old)

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken if needed, cool, and shred into small pieces.
  2. Combine shredded chicken, chicken broth, blueberries, yogurt and honey (if using) in a blender or food processor.
  3. Blend until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Pour mixture into silicone moulds or ice‑cube trays, leaving a little room at the top.
  5. Optional: drop a whole blueberry or two into each mould for texture.
  6. Freeze for 4–6 hours or until completely solid.
  7. Once frozen, pop the treats out and store for easy use.

Notes

  • Swap blueberries for strawberries, bananas or watermelon for flavor variety.
  • Add 1 tablespoon xylitol‑free peanut butter for a richer taste (ensure no xylitol or additives harmful to dogs).
  • Use a little more yogurt (and slightly less broth) for a creamier texture.
  • For a small dog, use tiny moulds to make appropriately sized pops.
  • If your dog prefers texture, skip blending completely smooth and leave it a bit chunky.
