Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg with milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until a smooth, slightly thick batter forms. Let rest for 5 minutes.
