Description

Golden baked garlic butter cheeseburger rollups filled with seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar cheese, wrapped in soft pizza dough for a fun and flavorful handheld meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (about 13.8 oz) or 1 sheet prepared pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef for about 4 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Add the diced onion and continue cooking until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
  4. Drain excess grease and stir in garlic powder, salt, black pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Cook for another minute, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 10 × 14 inches.
  6. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  8. Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log.
  9. Slice the log into 8–10 pieces and place them cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  10. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and parsley and brush the mixture over the tops.
  11. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  12. Let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Roll the dough tightly to help keep the rollups from unrolling during baking.
  • Different cheeses like mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a blend can be used.
  • Add diced pickles or relish for a classic cheeseburger flavor.
