Description
Tender lamb chops marinated in garlic, herbs, and lemon juice, then pan-seared to perfection. A flavorful and elegant main course ideal for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 6 lamb chops, about 1 inch thick (approx. 900 g)
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Pat lamb chops dry with paper towels and place in a shallow dish.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, oregano, salt, black pepper, paprika, and lemon juice.
- Rub marinade evenly over both sides of lamb chops. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temp or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
- Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook lamb chops for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or 4–5 minutes for medium.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
- Use rib or loin chops for the most tender results.
- Resting the meat after cooking helps retain juices.
- Adjust cooking time based on chop thickness and desired doneness.
- Fresh herbs provide the best flavor, but dried can be substituted.
- Great for both stovetop or outdoor grill cooking.
