Description

Ghostly Marshmallow Pops are spooky, fun Halloween treats made by dipping marshmallows in melted chocolate and decorating them to look like floating ghosts—perfect for parties or trick‑or‑treat gifts.

Ingredients

  • 1 package large marshmallows
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • Lollipop sticks or skewers
  • Mini chocolate chips (for eyes)
  • Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
  • Wax paper (for cooling)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave‑safe bowl: heat in 30‑second bursts, stirring between each until smooth.
  3. Insert a lollipop stick or skewer into each marshmallow, leaving enough stick for handling.
  4. Dip each marshmallow into the melted white chocolate, coating fully. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  5. Hold above the wax paper until dripping stops, then place the pop on the lined sheet.
  6. Immediately press two mini chocolate chips into each pop to serve as eyes. Add sprinkles now if desired.
  7. Let the white chocolate set for ~30 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate.
  8. Meanwhile, melt the milk chocolate chips in a clean bowl (using short bursts and stirring). Drizzle the milk chocolate over the pops for extra decoration.
  9. Return pops to the refrigerator for ~10 more minutes until fully set.
  10. Serve once the chocolate is firm and decorations are set.

Notes

  • You can use dark chocolate or colored candy melts (orange, green, etc.) for variation.
  • Add flavor extracts (mint, vanilla, etc.) to the melted chocolate for a twist.
  • Chill the marshmallows briefly before dipping if the coating is not sticking well.
  • Make vegan by using vegan marshmallows and dairy‑free chocolate.
  • Wrap each pop in plastic wrap if freezing; they can last up to 3 months frozen.
