Ingredients

  • 2¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups white chocolate chunks or bars cut into cubes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  6. Scoop a portion of dough, flatten it slightly, place a piece of white chocolate in the center, and wrap the dough around it completely.
  7. Place the dough balls on the baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are set but centers still look slightly underbaked.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
