Soft and indulgent cookies with a gooey white chocolate center, perfect for a comforting and impressive treat.
Ingredients
- 2¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1½ cups white chocolate chunks or bars cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Scoop a portion of dough, flatten it slightly, place a piece of white chocolate in the center, and wrap the dough around it completely.
- Place the dough balls on the baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are set but centers still look slightly underbaked.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try using milk or dark chocolate instead of white chocolate.
- Chilling the dough for 30 minutes helps prevent excessive spreading.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
- Reheat cookies in the microwave for 10–15 seconds to restore gooey center.
