Juicy grilled sirloin steak kabobs paired with a mix of caramelized onions and topped with tangy crumbled blue cheese for a savory, satisfying meal.
Ingredients
1 pound beef Top Sirloin Steak Boneless, cut 1 inch thick
4 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
3 teaspoons steak seasoning blend, divided
2 large assorted onions (red, yellow, sweet), each cut into 12 wedges
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
Instructions
- Cut the beef Top Sirloin Steak into 1¼-inch pieces.
- Thread beef pieces and green onion pieces alternately onto four 10-inch metal skewers. Sprinkle with 1½ teaspoons of steak seasoning.
- If using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for 10 minutes before use.
- Thread onion wedges onto another set of four 10-inch metal skewers, alternating onion varieties. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with remaining 1½ teaspoons of steak seasoning.
- Place onion skewers on grill over medium heat, cover, and cook 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally. Move onions to outer edge about 10 minutes before done.
- Place beef kabobs in center of grill. Grill covered for 8–10 minutes (or 9–11 minutes on gas grill) for medium rare to medium, turning once.
- Before serving, sprinkle both onion and beef kabobs with crumbled blue cheese.
Notes
- Substitute blue cheese with feta or goat cheese for a milder flavor.
- Use different steak cuts like flank or ribeye if preferred.
- Add crushed red pepper to seasoning for extra heat.
- Add bell peppers or cherry tomatoes to skewers for more veggies.
