Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add warm milk and warm water, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  4. Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead gently for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
  5. Shape into a round or oval loaf and place in the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
  7. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
