Description
Melt-In-Your-Mouth Chicken is a creamy, oven-baked dish featuring tender chicken breasts topped with a rich Parmesan mixture that forms a golden crust. Simple ingredients come together to create a juicy, flavorful dinner perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 pounds total)
- 1 cup mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish large enough to hold the chicken in a single layer.
- Pat chicken breasts dry and arrange evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika until smooth.
- Spread the mixture evenly over each chicken breast, coating completely.
- Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the topping is golden brown.
- For a crispier top, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end, watching carefully.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking and drying out the chicken.
- Greek yogurt can replace mayonnaise for a lighter option.
- Freshly grated Parmesan provides stronger flavor and better melting.
- Let the chicken rest before serving to retain juices.
- Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
