Description

This Homemade One Pot Beefaroni is a quick, hearty comfort food classic made with tender pasta, savory ground beef, and a rich, creamy tomato sauce. It’s an easy weeknight dinner with minimal cleanup and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups dry ziti pasta (or elbows, penne, or shells)
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add spaghetti sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and sugar. Stir well.
  4. Mix in dry pasta and beef broth, making sure pasta is submerged.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once pasta is tender, stir in heavy cream and simmer uncovered for another 10–15 minutes until sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot, optionally topped with shredded cheese or fresh herbs.

Notes

  • Add frozen peas or corn for extra veggies.
  • Stir in shredded mozzarella or cheddar for cheesy richness.
  • Top with fresh parsley or basil before serving.
  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
