This Homemade One Pot Beefaroni is a quick, hearty comfort food classic made with tender pasta, savory ground beef, and a rich, creamy tomato sauce. It’s an easy weeknight dinner with minimal cleanup and maximum flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
- 2 cups dry ziti pasta (or elbows, penne, or shells)
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2–3 minutes.
- Add spaghetti sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and sugar. Stir well.
- Mix in dry pasta and beef broth, making sure pasta is submerged.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once pasta is tender, stir in heavy cream and simmer uncovered for another 10–15 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Serve hot, optionally topped with shredded cheese or fresh herbs.
