Ingredients
4 chicken breasts
4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
2 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons flour
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts horizontally into cutlets, pat dry, and season with salt and pepper. Lightly dust with flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat, add remaining butter, and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in soy sauce, scraping up browned bits, then whisk in honey. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer 2-3 minutes to absorb flavor.
- Serve hot with sauce over each piece.
Notes
- Add a splash of rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar for tang.
- Use red pepper flakes or sriracha for heat.
- Swap chicken breasts for thighs for extra juiciness.
- Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds for a fresh finish.
