Description

This quick skillet glazed steak slice recipe features tender cured steak slices brushed with a sweet and tangy honey-Dijon glaze. Caramelized in a hot pan, it delivers rich flavor and a beautifully golden finish in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) boneless cured steak slices

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon olive oil, honey, orange juice, Dijon mustard, and cayenne until smooth.
  2. Heat remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Pat steak slices completely dry with paper towels.
  4. Brush one side of each slice generously with glaze.
  5. Place slices glaze side down into the skillet. Brush the top side with more glaze.
  6. Cook 3–5 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Flip and cook 2 more minutes, basting with remaining glaze, until heated through and lightly caramelized.
  8. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Keep heat at medium to prevent the honey from burning.
  • Pat slices dry for better browning.
  • Most cured steak slices are pre-cooked and only need reheating.
  • Doubling the glaze provides extra sauce for serving.
  • Add a splash of broth when reheating to maintain moisture.
