Description
This quick skillet glazed steak slice recipe features tender cured steak slices brushed with a sweet and tangy honey-Dijon glaze. Caramelized in a hot pan, it delivers rich flavor and a beautifully golden finish in just 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) boneless cured steak slices
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon olive oil, honey, orange juice, Dijon mustard, and cayenne until smooth.
- Heat remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Pat steak slices completely dry with paper towels.
- Brush one side of each slice generously with glaze.
- Place slices glaze side down into the skillet. Brush the top side with more glaze.
- Cook 3–5 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip and cook 2 more minutes, basting with remaining glaze, until heated through and lightly caramelized.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
- Keep heat at medium to prevent the honey from burning.
- Pat slices dry for better browning.
- Most cured steak slices are pre-cooked and only need reheating.
- Doubling the glaze provides extra sauce for serving.
- Add a splash of broth when reheating to maintain moisture.
